The Fullness Thereof

I see ripples of this fullness
weaving through our daily lives. . .

Psalm 24: 1  “The Earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof. . .”

אֶרֶץ – Earth (pronounced eh’-rets)
יְהוָֹה – the LORD (Jehovah)
מְלא – Fills, fullness, multitude (Mel-o’)
[The other English words: the, is, and, thereof – are for clarity in the English language.]

Earth.  Lord.  Fullness. = Nice.

John 10:10, John 1:16, Colossians 2:9
Other scriptures referring to a lasting fullness also lean toward the symbolism of Spiritual fullness, and away from participation in worldly things.  I have to admit many of my own recollections about Old Testament scripture relating to abundance, fruit of the vine, and fullness were how God’s promises were to provide an abundance of material.  But I found references stating how those worldly provisions led enemies to overcome those who liked the rich provisions.  Let this be a warning to partake the things of this world lightly.  Abundance can lead your mind to wander away from God.  To truly live in the fullness of God’s design we should feast on the same food Jesus referred to when He told the disciples there was a food they did not know about (John 4:32).
